![]() This means that when you are in a story dungeon for example, you cant run to your throne room to put your advisors on tasks that fail if not completed. Last edit, remember, the kingdom stuff runs in the backround realtime. I suggest to just disable it, not worth the trouble. But if you dont know what you are doing/get really unlucky you can lose a lot of progress. This has been alleviated with the "coins" you can use to get better odds at events for example. Essential for example in the troll chapter if you get unlucky your advisors can fail enough tasks with bad rolls and you cant really stop the snowball effect to a crumbling kingdom game over. I remember the crumbling kingdom being one of them. Oh and there are other possible game overs that can happen through the kingdom management. You could also leave a save at the start of every chapter but slogging through the same 20 hours is honestly not tempting. The save was essentially bricked since even cheating wouldnt help. The moving around took too long even if I knew exactly where to go. Now what happened to me, was that my earlier saves were so close that I couldnt possibly play the chapter through and defeat the enemy in less than a week ingame time. You get a similiar warning a couple of times when the game suddenly triggers an insta game over. For example in one chapter, the game gives a warning like "your mages sense something very powerfull approaching in the future and your mages try to figure out whats going on." Cant remember the exact wording but its pretty close. The game doesnt tell you (at least didnt back then) that there is a game over state coming after x hours. Highly doubt I'll get even close to finishing it, but it should be fun for a dozen or so hours.Ĭlick to shrink. In some chapters (or maybe all of them if I recal correctly) at the moment the chapter starts an invisible clock start ticking. I can't believe how excited I am about this lol, considering that I JUST played and finished the game like a month ago or something. Kingdom management on auto, obviously - that stuff turned out to be some of my least favorite content of the whole game. ![]() ![]() Gonna see how much havoc I can create with my chaotic evil character before it comes back to bite me in the ass. Playing with the turn-based mod, with normal difficulty enemies to counter (at least a bit) the fact that I can use per-rest abilities on a per-encounter basis. Should I just be reading the PnP Pathfinder rules, or are there Kingmaker-specific resources around?Īlso can I inspect an enemy somehow, particularly in the turn-based mode? Surely I should be able to look at their stats and stuff somehowĮ: started a new main quest playthrough, with a bunch of tweaks for shits and giggles - main ones being "auto instant rest after combat", no need for rest at all (no fatiguing etc.), 5x movement speed and various encumberance tweaks to practically get rid of everything I found so very annoying about the game before. Well, anything and everything? Like, I dunno, I'm not sure I'm understanding what the four different parts or tiers of my character's "Melee Attacks" stat means, or what the negative Armor Check with heavy armor actually means. Speaking of being paralyzed by everything, is there a good resource to understanding.
